6th grade Course Selection Lessons

Each school and class will schedule a visit with a KJMS Counselor to learn about the courses offered at KJMS, get a course selection sheet, and learn how to select classes for the 25-26 school year. Your 6th grade teacher or counselor will have more details in January.

Jan. 16

Curriculum Night @KJMS 

6:00pm - 8:00pm

KJMS will provide an overview of the course selection process and you can visit classrooms and learn more about classes at KJMS. The format is open house style, plan to stay about 30 minutes. There will be resources on the KJMS website if you are not able to attend.

Course Selections entered into SIS Student Vue 

(Google Survey form for some schools)

At school, students will enter the classes they would like to take at KJMS for the 25-26 school year. Once classes are entered, families will be able to see courses in SIS Student or Parent Vue. Each school will share its deadline with families, Feb 7 is the final deadline to enter the information.

6th grade teachers and counselors will share information with families in January. Click here if you do not have a SIS Parent account.

Feb. 7

Final day to enter Course Selections

Once courses are locked Feb/March by KJ staff, changes can be made by contacting your ES counselor or your school’s KJMS Counselor contact. All courses are locked centrally on March 21. No changes to courses can be made after the last day of the current school year.

Come to the building to learn more about how middle school works, learn about our after school program, and get to know staff and the building.

KJMS Transition Lessons

KJMS Counselors and Admin will come to elementary schools to talk more about how to be successful in middle school and to get ready for the 25-26 school year.

This is the final day to make changes to classes for the 25-26 school year. You can send an email to your counselor or the KJMS counselor assigned to your school.
