KJMS Course Catalog Available on KJMS Website – Course Selection

See full descriptions of courses in FCPS Middle Schools and at KJMS. Students may only select courses listed on their grade level Course Selection Sheet.

Early January

6th grade Course Selection Lessons

Each school and class will schedule a visit with a KJMS Counselor to learn about the courses offered at KJMS, get a course selection sheet, and learn how to select classes for the 24-25 school year. Your 6th grade teacher or counselor will have more details in January.

Virtual Curriculum Night: 

6:00pm - 8:00pm

KJMS will provide an overview of the course selection process and will provide links to sessions for all of our courses. There will be resources on the KJMS website if you are not able to attend.

Jan. 22 - Feb. 2, 2024

Course Selections entered into SIS Student Vue 

(Google Survey form for some schools)

At school, students will enter the classes they would like to take at KJMS for the 24-25 school year. Once classes are entered, families will be able to see courses in SIS Student or Parent Vue. Each school will share its deadline with families, Feb 9 is the final deadline to enter the information.

6th grade teachers and counselors will share information with families in January. Click here if you do not have a SIS Parent account.

Final day to enter Course Selections

After this date, changes can be made by contacting your ES counselor or your school’s KJMS Counselor contact. No changes to courses can be made after the last day of this school year.
