KJMS Teachers' Global Impact: A Library Built Across Continents
We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update regarding a remarkable initiative undertaken by our faculty last year, exemplifying Global & Ethical Citizenship – POG attribute.
Pressy Experimental Preparatory School, located in Ghana, reached out to us seeking assistance in establishing a library for their preschool through middle school students. This school had no library facilities for their eager learners. Pooling together gently used books that our own children and grandchildren had outgrown, our faculty embarked on a mission to make a difference across borders.
The impact of our community's generosity reached far and wide. This week, we received heartening news from Pressy Experimental Preparatory School in Ghana. Thanks to our contributions, they not only succeeded in building a library but also managed to fill it with a diverse array of books.
This project stands as a shining example of the Portrait of the Graduate attribute of Global & Ethical Citizenship. By extending a helping hand to those in need, regardless of geographical boundaries, we have made a tangible difference in the lives of young learners, fostering a love for reading and learning.
We are immensely proud to share this accomplishment with our community, as it reflects the spirit of compassion, empathy, and global interconnectedness that we strive to instill in our students every day.
Thank you to our dedicated faculty and everyone who contributed to making this project a resounding success. Together, we have made a meaningful impact on the lives of others and exemplified the true essence of being global citizens.
